If this sounds familiar

You've been told a lot of things. None of them helped.

  • "Your scans look normal."
  • "You'll just have to live with it."
  • "Surgery is your only option."

By the time most people find Renew, they have been hurting for years. They have seen provider after provider. All of them kind, none of them able to say what is actually wrong, let alone fix it. Somewhere along the way, they stopped expecting to feel better.

You do not have to settle for that. Your pain has a cause. Finding it is what we do.

"I had been living with back pain for so long I was just hoping for some relief, even if it was only temporary. Now that my treatment plan is complete, I am virtually pain free. If you are living with pain and thinking that it is just part of your life, please know that it doesn't have to be that way."

A renewed approach

Most physical therapy hands you exercises. We put our hands on the problem.

Renew is an integrative, hands-on practice. Our doctors of physical therapy specialize in Fascial Counterstrain and advanced manual therapy: gentle, precise techniques that locate the inflamed, guarded tissue driving your pain and release it, rather than strengthening around it and hoping it settles down.

  • Root cause, not symptoms. We diagnose by how your body responds to specific hands-on techniques, which finds problems that scans and standard tests miss.
  • One-on-one, every session. Your clinician is with you the whole time, hands on, start to finish.
  • Whole-body. Chronic pain, nerve pain, inflammation, digestive and autoimmune issues, post-surgical problems. If it's connected, we treat it that way.
  • Faster than traditional PT. Most patients feel a change on day one. No physician referral needed to start.
Your first session

Here's exactly what happens when you come in.

No forms-and-wait. No twenty minutes with an aide. Your first visit is one-on-one with a residency-trained clinician, and you leave with answers.

  1. We listen. Really listen.

Your whole story, not just the body part that hurts. Where it started, what you've tried, what you've been told.

  2. A hands-on evaluation

We find where your pain is actually coming from, which is often not where it hurts.

  3. Treatment starts on day one

You don't wait for a second visit to feel something change. We treat what we find, right away.

  4. A clear plan you understand

What's going on, how many visits we expect, and what you can do at home. No mystery, no open-ended "come back in six weeks."

Our guarantee: if your pain isn't reduced on your first session, that session is free. You have nothing to lose except your pain.

We don't bill insurance, which is exactly why every session is unhurried, one-on-one, and focused on getting you better instead of hitting a quota. Many patients tell us they'd already spent far more searching for relief elsewhere.

What we do, explained

What is Fascial Counterstrain?

Fascial Counterstrain (FCS) is a highly specialized, neurological way of interpreting the body's dysfunction. Most manual therapy reads pain mechanically. FCS utilizes the nervous system instead, which catches problems a mechanical exam misses. Using FCS, we find where inflammation is trapped in your body's tissue and gently release it, and it is the reason people who have tried everything else come to Renew.

In this 26-minute episode of the Good Outcomes podcast, Dr. Dave walks through how Fascial Counterstrain works, what a session feels like, and why it helps people that other treatments could not.

"What is Fascial Counterstrain? Explained in Simple Terms!" from the Renew YouTube channel.

Google reviews

"After years of migraines, fibromyalgia, recovery from cancer treatments, multiple surgeries, and persistent pain, I had tried everything with limited relief. My only regret is not finding him sooner. It would have saved me a great deal of time, money, and frustration."

Rain B. Google review, treated by Dr. Isaiah Requintina

"I went from being told to wear a brace for the rest of my life and use lymphedema pants every night for the rest of my life to not needing either one. It is a total gamechanger for those of us with hEDS."

Amy B. Google review

"I am a Dysautonomia, Fibromyalgia, Syringomyelia, and Chronic Inflammatory Arthropathy patient, among other issues. On a daily basis I hurt. However, I can honestly say I am not hurting today. And I have only seen him three times."

Tamera D. Google review

"My husband was on the brink of having surgery to fuse cervical vertebrae 2 through T1. We are thrilled to be able to cancel that surgery as a result of the physical therapy done by Dr. Harvitz. He is looking forward to a game of golf."
